Let's connect your Firebase project to get started.

Step-by-step Setup Guide

Go to the Firebase Console and log in.
Click Add Project, name it (e.g. Insta-Fools-App), and click continue. Disabling Google Analytics for this testing phase is recommended.
Once created, click the Web icon (</>) in the center of the project overview page to register a Web App.
Name the web app Insta-Fools-Front, and click Register App.

You will see a block of code containing a firebaseConfig object. It looks like this:

Database Setup (Firestore): In the left sidebar of the Firebase Console, go to Build > Firestore Database, click Create Database, start it in Test Mode (so your friends can read/write initially), and select a location.
Storage Setup (Images): Go to Build > Storage, click Get Started, start it in Test Mode, and click next. (Alternative: If Firebase asks you to upgrade to a paid plan for Storage, get a free API Key from Imgbb and enter it in the fields below to enable free direct file uploads!)
Authentication Setup (Users): Go to Build > Authentication, click Get Started, enable the Email/Password and Google providers.
